why it is okay to take a break from blogging

After a somehow longer pause I am now back with a very personal post about blogging. I love to write – about my own thoughts, books and basically everything that crosses my mind. And yes, I also love blogging. But for I time now I have been silent – mainly because I had a lot going on in my life but also because blogging sometimes can be a real pain. I realized this in especially stressful times.

feeling guilty

This is going to be a personal post, but I believe that this theme is extremely important. So thank you for reading. As a child, I have always been an avid reader. I started reading at a very young age – my mom still loves to tell the story how we went shopping and I started reading the ads to her – at I just couldn’t get enough of books. I wanted to have more and more and when the book was too hard for me to read, someone else was needed. I loved to devour the words and my parents weren’t able to buy the amount of books in the time I wanted them. Then came school and over the years I somehow lost my interest in reading bit by bit over the time. The reason for this simply was the fact that I had to read books for school I wasn’t interested in. I found my interest once again when I started to explore English books. As a non-native speaker the beginning was hard for me but I found that I loved the English language more than my native one.

prologue

After joining #bookstagram a few months ago, I decided real fast that I needed a bigger space to share my love for books. I knew that I needed a blog where I could talk and rant about my feelings as well as share my emotions with other people around the world. WordPress seemed just fine to me and so I started to design a page that fulfilled my wishes. The procrastinator I am, I needed some time (well, more like almost a year to be exact) before finally being able to build something I liked.
